Our purely vegan OPC capsules contain the valuable plant substance OPC, which is extracted from the seeds of French grapes. OPCs, or "oligomeric proanthocyanidins", are natural secondary plant substances that belong to the group of flavanols. In addition to grapes, they are also found in green tea, blueberries, strawberries, apples, pine bark, bananas and the red skin of peanuts.
The grape seeds are extracted at a temperature of around 80°C without the use of organic or artificial solvents. Our cold water extraction produces a high-quality grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera), which is one of the strongest natural antioxidants.
In order to enrich and concentrate the polyphenols in our OPC extract, we use a solution of 70% water and 30% ethanol and carry out membrane filtration. This preserves the active properties of the grape seeds contained in our OPC extract. This ensures gentle and environmentally friendly production.
