IbuHEXAL® akut 400 mg is a proven painkiller that works quickly and effectively for mild to moderate pain and fever. The active ingredient ibuprofen is known for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. The medicine is suitable for the treatment of headaches, toothache, back pain, menstrual pain and colds and should be in every medicine cabinet. Thanks to its versatility, IbuHEXAL® acute 400 mg is a reliable companion for sudden pain and fever.
Indications:
- Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain.
- Fever reduction in colds and other illnesses.
Dosage:
- Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: Initially ½ to 1 film-coated tablet (200-400 mg ibuprofen), a further dose every 6 hours if required, maximum daily dose 1200 mg.
- Children from 6 years of age: Dosage according to body weight, see package leaflet.
Recommended use:
- Take tablets unchewed with plenty of liquid.
- If stomach is sensitive, take during meals.
- Do not take for longer than 3 days for fever and 4 days for pain without medical advice.
Mode of action:
Ibuprofen inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation. By inhibiting these messenger substances, the sensation of pain is reduced, inflammation is inhibited and fever is reduced.
Advice:
- The medicine should not be taken in the case of known allergies to ibuprofen or other components of the medicine, existing gastrointestinal ulcers or severe liver or kidney disease.
- Only use during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.
