Skin antiseptic for preoperative use, blood sampling and injections
Application areas:
- Preoperative skin antisepsis
- Before catheterisation, injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulations and biopsies
- Suture care
- Support for general hygiene measures to prevent fungal skin infections
- Hygienic hand disinfection
Instructions for use:
- Before all invasive procedures
- Undiluted application of kodan®
- Spray the affected skin area or alternatively rub with a soaked swab
- Ensure complete wetting of the skin
- Compliance with the exposure times according to the area of application
Before joint punctures and during preoperative skin antisepsis:
- Mechanically shorten or chemically remove the hair from the affected skin area
- Recommend preoperative washing (e.g.B. with octenisan®)
Active ingredients:
- 200 mg hydrogen peroxide solution
- 200 mg water, purified
- 200 mg biphenyl-2-ol
- 45000 mg 2-propanol
- 10000 mg 1-propanol
Composition:
100 g contains: 45.0 g 2-propanol, 10.0 g 1-propanol, 0.2 g 2-biphenylol.
Other ingredients: Hydrogen peroxide solution 30 % (Ph. Eur.), purified water.
