How do the ingredients of the medicine work?
The medicine consists of a combination of active ingredients. When the medicine is introduced into the rectum, it melts due to the body temperature and the two active ingredients come into contact with each other. This results in the development of carbon dioxide. This gas also occurs naturally in the rectum as a product of digestion and stimulates the bowel to move more quickly. This facilitates defecation. In addition, the gas development leads to an increase in volume in the rectum. The stretching stimulus also supports the evacuation of faeces.
