Nasal Spray AL 0.1% in detail
Nasal Spray AL 0.1% is an effective remedy for the rapid and long-lasting relief of nasal congestion. It contains the proven active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride, which was specially developed to decongest the nasal mucosa. This makes breathing easier and promotes the drainage of stuck mucus, which is particularly helpful for colds, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis.
Active ingredients:
- 1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride
Excipients:
- 0.2 mg benzalkonium chloride
- Purified water
- Sodium citrate-2-water
- Citric acid monohydrate
- glycerol
Properties:
- Clears blocked nose quickly and for a long time.
- Facilitates the drainage of stuck mucus.
- Suitable for adults and schoolchildren; Nasal Spray AL 0.05% is recommended for children aged 2 to 6 years.
Indications:
- Decongestion of the nasal mucosa in rhinitis, intermittent runny nose (vasomotor rhinitis) and allergic rhinitis (allergic rhinitis).
- Facilitates the drainage of secretions in cases of sinusitis and otitis media in conjunction with the common cold.
Application:
- Before first use, press the spray attachment several times until an even spray mist is produced.
- Adults and schoolchildren: Spray 1 puff into each nostril up to 3 times a day, hold the bottle upright and inhale gently through the nose while spraying.
- Do not use for longer than 7 days without a doctor's prescription, use again only after a break of several days.
Special instructions:
- Effective for rhinitis caused by allergies such as hay fever or house dust allergy.
- Helpful for sinusitis to decongest the mucous membrane and clear the nose.
- Not suitable for children under 6 years of age; Nasal Spray AL 0.05% is recommended for this age group.
Shelf life:
- Stable for up to six months after opening, do not use after the expiry date.
Safety:
- A habituation effect is unlikely if the recommended dosage is adhered to.
- Contains benzalkonium chloride.
