How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water). To make it easier to take, you can open the capsule and take the contents mixed with water, tea or food.
Duration of use?
The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the illness.
For diarrhoea: You should not use the medicine for longer than 2 days without medical advice if the symptoms have not improved after this time. You should continue to take the medicine for a few days after the symptoms have disappeared.
Overdose?
An overdose can lead to flatulence, among other things. Measures are not usually necessary. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. As the doctor will personalise it, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.
Storage
The medicine must be stored away from moisture (e.g. in a tightly closed container).
What speaks against use?
Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Patients with a central venous catheter in place
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
Weakened immune system, e.g. HIV infections, organ transplants, long-term high-dose cortisone treatment
Which age group should be considered?
Infants and young children under 2 years of age: The medicine may only be used after consultation with a doctor or under medical supervision.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Pregnancy: Based on current knowledge, the medicinal product should not be used.
Breastfeeding: Based on current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with the use of a contraindication.
What adverse effects can occur?
- Flatulence

What should you be aware of?
- Caution in case of allergy to yeast!
- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.

This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The yeast binds pathogenic bacteria in the intestine. In experiments outside the living organism, it has also been shown to have a growth-inhibiting effect on certain bacteria.
Application
- Diarrhoea, especially when it is acute
- Prevention and treatment of traveller's diarrhoea
- Diarrhoea under tube feeding
- Acne, supportive treatment
Consult your doctor if you experience additional symptoms such as diarrhoea accompanied by an admixture of blood or an increase in temperature.
Dosage
For acute diarrhoea and for the prevention and treatment of traveller's diarrhoea:
- 1 capsule
- 1-2 capsules per day
- Children from 2 years and adults
- before a meal
