Method of use?

Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).

Duration of use?

You should not use the medicine for longer than 6 months without medical advice.

Overdose?

An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal complaints and diarrhoea, among other things. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

Forgotten dose?

Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not with twice the prescribed amount) at the next prescribed time.
In general: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing in infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information on the package leaflet. Since the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Always:
- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
- Estrogen-dependent tumour, also in the past
Under certain circumstances - talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this:

- Pregnancy: Based on current knowledge, the medicine should not be used.
- Breastfeeding: Based on current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.
If you have been prescribed the medicine despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may be greater than the risk associated with use in the case of a contraindication.

If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
The information provided here is based primarily on side effects that occur in at least one in 1,000 patients treated.

What should you be aware of?

- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?

The ingredients come from the black cohosh plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: erect, perennial shrub with a thick, densely rooted rhizome and large, two- to three-pinnate leaves; the whitish flowers are arranged in clusters
- Occurrence: Europe, North America, Asia
- Main constituents: triterpene glycosides (cimicifugoside, actein, cimiracemosides A, C and F)
- Plant parts and preparations used: Extract from the underground components (rhizome)
Extracts of black cohosh rhizome influence the effect of female hormones, especially estrogen, and are therefore used for menopausal symptoms.
