Overdosage?
An overdose can lead to drowsiness, high fever, impaired consciousness, hallucinations, convulsions and cardiovascular disorders, including circulatory collapse or coma. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.
A dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. As the doctor will adjust it individually, you should therefore use the medicine according to his instructions.

Which age group should be considered?
- Children under 12 years of age: The medicinal product must not be used.
- Children and adolescents under 45 kg body weight: As a rule, the medicinal product should not be used in this group. There are preparations that are more suitable in terms of active substance strength and/or pharmaceutical form.
What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding: According to current knowledge, use is not recommended. Breastfeeding may need to be considered.

- Reactivity may be impaired even when used as directed, especially at higher doses or in combination with alcohol. Pay particular attention if you are driving or operating machinery (including household machinery) that could injure you.
- Avoid excessive UV radiation, e.g. in solariums or during extended sunbathing, because the skin reacts more sensitively during the use of the medicine.
- Caution: If you use the medicine over a longer period of time, the body may become accustomed to it and you may need an increasingly higher dosage in order to feel an effect.
- Sudden discontinuation may cause problems or discomfort. Treatment should therefore be stopped slowly, i.e. by gradually tapering off the dose. It is best to consult your doctor or pharmacist about this.
- Take care if you are allergic to the sweetener saccharin (E number E 954)!
- There may be medicines with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The active ingredient blocks receptors for a specific messenger substance called histamine. Via this blockade, it suppresses vasodilation and increased blood flow in the smallest hair vessels (capillaries) triggered by histamine. It also combats nausea via the same mechanism and has a calming effect.
