Active ingredients:
- Zinc oxide (100 mg)
Excipients:
- Cetylstearyl alcohol
- White vaseline
- Lanolin alcohols
Indication:
Bombastus Zinc Ointment BW is a skin protectant that provides a covering, protective and secretion-binding effect in acute and subacute dermatoses thanks to zinc oxide.
Dosage and application:
Apply the ointment once or several times a day to the affected areas of skin and cover with gauze if necessary. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
Duration of use:
The duration of treatment is unlimited and depends on the healing process.
Side effects:
A slight burning sensation may occur after application to severely inflamed areas of skin. Occasionally, reddening of the skin, signs of dehydration, rough skin and acanthotic skin changes may occur. Inform your doctor or pharmacist of any significant side effects or undisclosed side effects.
Interactions:
The ointment should not be used at the same time as other topical products on the same area of skin in order to avoid ineffective combinations. Inform your doctor or pharmacist of all medicines taken or used.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to zinc or other components of the ointment. For large areas of skin, do not treat more than 20 % of the body surface.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if used as directed and in accordance with the dosage instructions. Large-area application to the breast in breastfeeding women should be avoided.
Patient information:
When used in the genital and anal area, the tear resistance of latex condoms may be impaired by the excipients vaseline and paraffin.

No special precautions required.
