Erler Zimmer Senior Pressure Ulcer Foot in detail
The Senior Pressure Ulcer Foot has been specially developed for older people suffering from chronic pressure ulcers. This model makes it possible to demonstrate the cleaning and treatment of pressure ulcers at different stages. Pressure ulcers often occur in areas where bones rub against socks, shoes or bed sheets, such as the heels, toes or between the toes. The senior pressure ulcer foot clearly shows all four stages:
- Stage 1: Redness on the underside of the toe
- Stage 2: Redness and damage in deeper layers of skin below the toe
- Stage 3: Redness and crater-like damage on the side of the foot extending into the lowest layer of skin
- Stage 4: Redness and major tissue damage on the heel, including muscle, bone, joint and ligaments.
