B. Braun Monosyn® Quick suture material in detail

Monosyn® Quick is short-term reiable, absorbable, synthetic, monofilament and non-fraying. The suture material consists of a triblock polymer of glycolide, epsilon-caprolactone and trimethylene caronbate. It is suitable for applications including:

  • Skin closure (intracutaneous, subcutaneous)
  • Mucous membranes in oral and maxillofacial surgery
  • Episiotomy (gynaecology)
  • Phimosis (urology)

Complete resorption occurs after around 56 days. 6 to 7 days after implantation, the suture material still has 50% of the original friction force.
