Erler Zimmer osteopathic skull model, 22-part, didactic design - EZ Augmented Anatomy in detail
This fascinating model of an average European adult skull can be dissected into all 22 individual bones. When developing the model, we digitised a real human skull using state-of-the-art technology and then idealised it, i.e. adapted it to the standard anatomy. This makes it significantly different from many other products, some of which are too small or inaccurate in their reproduction of detail. The individual parts of the model are dimensionally stable and have practical strong magnetic connections, making the model easy to handle. The detailed bones do not have to be painstakingly put together, but fit together almost automatically in the correct position. They are held in place by strong magnets and guided by lifelike skull sutures. This technique has enabled us to largely dispense with connecting pins, as these are not durable and often break. Due to its excellent anatomy and easy handling, this skull is the ideal training aid for osteopathy.
This design is suitable for better visual differentiation of the individual bones. The bones are produced in the didactic colours commonly used in anatomy, paired bones in identical colours.
The following individual bones are shown:
- Parietal bone, left and right
- Occipital bone
- Temporal bone, left and right
