Quick Clot Z-Fold haemostatic wound dressing in detail
QuikClot is a haemostatic wound dressing consisting of a non-woven fabric impregnated with kaolin. Kaolin intrinsically activates Factor XII, which in turn accelerates the coagulation cascade and leads to faster bleeding control. QuikClot haemostatic products can be routinely used for a variety of "minor" bleeds, such as abrasions or traumatic injuries.
