Indication
This medicinal product contains Indian psyllium husk, a herbal swelling agent for stool regulation. It is used for chronic constipation, diseases that require easier bowel evacuation with soft stools and for supportive treatment of diarrhoea.
Dosage
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: take one level measuring spoon 2-3 times a day after stirring into plenty of liquid (at least 150ml).
- Adolescents from 12 to 15 years: one level measuring spoon 2-4 times a day.
- Adolescents aged 16 and over and adults: 2-6 times a day, one level measuring spoon.
Duration of use
- Do not use for longer than 3 days for constipation and 2 days for diarrhoea without consulting a doctor.
Side effects
- Flatulence and bloating, which subside in the course of treatment.
- Risk of intestinal obstruction with insufficient fluid intake.
- Possible hypersensitivity reactions such as runny nose, breathing difficulties and skin reactions.
Warnings
- Do not take dry; always take with sufficient liquid (at least 150 ml).
- Do not use in case of allergic reactions to psyllium, dysphagia, blood in the stool, constrictions in the gastrointestinal tract or intestinal obstruction.
Roadworthiness and machine operation
- The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
