The CLEARTEST® light Strep A is a high-quality rapid test specially developed for the qualitative detection of Streptococcus group A antigens in throat swab samples. This test is an indispensable tool for professional in-vitro diagnostics and provides reliable results in just 5 minutes.
How it works
The test is based on a lateral flow immunoassay using specific antibodies to detect Strep A antigens. A coloured line in the test area indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. An additional control line serves as a procedural control and confirms that the test has been performed correctly.
Areas of application
The CLEARTEST® light Strep A is used for the diagnosis of infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. These infections include pharyngitis, respiratory tract infections, impetigo, endocarditis, meningitis, puerperal septicaemia and arthritis. Early diagnosis is crucial to avoid serious complications such as rheumatic fever and peritonsillar abscesses.
