B. Braun Monoplus® suture material in detail
MonoPlus® is a long-lasting, resorbable, synthetic, monofilament suture material consisting of poly-p-dioxanone. It is mainly used in orthopaedics, traumatology and visceral surgery. Depending on the thickness of the suture, around 50 to 70 % of the original tensile strength remains 28 days after implantation. The suture material largely resorbs after approx. 180 to 210 days.
