Berk Beltane in detail
It is a special occasion that celebrates the fertility of the divine union of heaven and earth. The incense has a slight aphrodisiac effect and enhances the magic of this night by opening the veils to the Otherworld. While using this incense, our perception increases and we can contemplate the intermediate worlds.
Contents: apples, cistus, corn poppy, marigold, laurel, pine resin and more.
Annual cycle festivals:
The Celts celebrated eight major festivals a year, four of which were sun festivals and four moon festivals. The sun festivals marked the equinox and the longest and shortest day of the year. The lunar festivals were in the centre of the solar festivals. These festivals were characterised by intense joie de vivre, but also by a deep respect for the changing conditions of nature.
When we tune back into these natural rhythms, we nourish our souls and strengthen our connection to nature and the cosmos. It is important that we honour what supports and surrounds us every day with respect. In today's hectic world of electric light and central heating, there is a danger that we no longer feel the rhythm of nature, the power of the sun and moon and the magic of change. Everything is uniform, without ups and downs, without the wonderful magic that surrounds us.
