Erler Zimmer dressing simulator in detail
This simulator is a model of a female body with elastic and realistic skin that reacts realistically to plasters and bandages. There are a total of 14 different wounds that make it possible to practise different techniques for wound care, cleaning and bandaging just like on a real patient. The wounds are closed with surgical staples and sutures that cannot be removed.
The simulator contains the following wounds:
- thyroidectomy
- Sternal cleft with chest drains (surgical staples)
- Mastectomy with simulated drainage
- Gallbladder removal with simulated T-tube
- Laparotomy (surgical staples)
- Appendectomy
- Colostomy
- Ileostomy
- Transabdominal hysterectomy (surgical staples)
- Thoracotomy (surgical staples)
- Kidney removal (surgical staples)
- Vertebral arch resection
- Decubitus ulcer (stage II) in the sacral region
- Limb stump after amputation (surgical staples)
The simulator is supplied in a transport case. It measures 84 x 30.5 x 63.5 cm and weighs 12 kg.
