The 6-layer RealSuture suture pad has been specially developed to mimic the first 6 layers of the skin. These layers include the epidermis, dermis, subcutis, the first fascia layer, the muscle and the second fascia layer. Each layer of the suture pad has been uniquely formulated to realistically mimic the corresponding tissue, making it the most authentic model on the market. The additional dermis layer makes this suture pad particularly useful for practising subcutaneous sutures. The multi-layer reinforcement of the pad results in minimal to no tears when suturing.
