The manikin has been carefully designed to allow training in performing Heimlich manoeuvres as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Realistic anatomical landmarks such as the Adam's apple, carotid arteries, umbilicus, rib cage and chest notch make it easier to learn correct hand positioning for checking pulse and performing chest compressions. To clear the airway, it is important to over-extend the head correctly. When ventilating, the chest rises visibly.
