Erler Zimmer NG Tube & and Tracheostoma Care Simulator in Detail
The NG Tube and Tracheostoma Care Simulator is a product designed to help you learn, train and practice important tracheostomy management skills and care skills for patients with respiratory conditions.
The simulator also allows you to understand gastrointestinal care procedures through nasal and oral approaches. The simulator features a newly designed head and torso with realistic landmarks, trachea, oesophagus, lungs and stomach. For an extremely realistic effect, you can mix methyl cellulose with water to create the simulated mucous fluids of a real patient. To simulate the realistic care of a tracheostomy with suction, you can add fluid to the lungs and stomach.
The simulator also allows you to practice changing the dressing and inflating the cuff. Other realistic procedures include NG tube care, including insertion, irrigation and removal, gastric lavage and probing, feeding tube insertion and withdrawal with the ability to practice feeding, care of patients with nasoenteral and oesophageal tubes, care of patients with oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal care needs and care of patients with tracheal tubes.
In addition, you can practise intubations with a laryngoscope blade and a size 6.0 ET tube. The simulator has been designed so that both size 6 tracheostomy tubes and size 6 NG tubes can be used. The set includes spray pump lubricant, a packet of methylcellulose, instructions for use and a case. Please note that the simulator does not contain tracheostomy, ET or NG tubes. The size of the simulator is 26 x 41 x 69 cm.
