L-threonine - an important amino acid for your body

L-threonine is a natural amino acid that your body cannot produce itself. You therefore need to get it from food. It is found in foods such as fish, meat, nuts, dairy products, soya beans, peas and eggs. Tuna is particularly rich in threonine and can therefore make an important contribution to your threonine supply.

Threonine is a building block of many proteins, especially in the collagen of connective tissue. It is also important for a healthy immune system. If you have a lot of physical exertion, taking L-threonine can be beneficial.
