This immunological test is used for the qualitative detection of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in citrated blood, serum or capillary blood from the fingertip. It therefore serves as an aid in the diagnosis of an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). The test cannot be used as the sole diagnostic tool and is intended for use by healthcare professionals only. Samples are recognised from a concentration of 5 mlU/l up to a concentration of 500 mlU/l.
