Schiller FRED easyport defibrillator in detail
- Semi-automatic with automatic heart rhythm detection: Once the adhesive electrodes have been applied, software in the Schiller FRED Easyport defibrillator automatically analyses the heart rhythm. If ventricular fibrillation or a serious cardiac arrhythmia is detected, the device activates defibrillation. You then only need to press the shock button.
- Automatic electrode recognition (adult/child): The device recognises whether paediatric or adult electrodes are connected and automatically selects the energy output accordingly.
- Biphasic energy delivery during defibrillation (Multipulse Biowave): The principle of this pulsed curve type is that the current and energy only act on the heart for part of the time. The advantage is that less energy is delivered to the heart in this way than with a non-pulsed impulse. The lower energy output minimises damage to the heart muscle.
- ECG display: You can start the ECG analysis at the touch of a button or automatically. After the analysis, the ECG curve is shown on the display.
- Data storage up to 30 minutes incl. 500 events: A memory card for recording the patient ECG is available for documenting the use of the device. The data on the memory card can be transferred to a computer and analysed.
