Erler Zimmer EASi Empathic Ageing Simulator in detail
This simulator was developed after many years of research in the field of ageing simulation. The suit allows you to experience the most common processes of ageing and thereby gain a change of perspective for your desired goals. For example, you may have a lot to do with older people in your job and want to better understand their perspective. Or to better assess and take into account the needs of older customers.
The simulator's repertoire includes the following:
- Increased strain due to the age-related decline in muscle strength (which is physiological from the age of 30) .
- Changes in sensory perception, especially in the areas of vision, hearing, grasping and walking
- Progressive movement restrictions, mainly in the spine, shoulder and hip region
The EASI age simulator is supplied with the following as standard:
- A privacy visor with three simulation foils (for cataract, glaucoma and AMD), which can be easily and quickly exchanged using a magnetic system.
- A waistcoat and thigh attachments with weight inserts that can be easily adjusted to body size and degree of discomfort.
- One-size weight shoes and hand cuffs.
- Modular rubber connections from the head to the torso and from the torso to the arms, which can be easily adjusted to the degree of discomfort.
- A robust carrying bag for transport and use.
- Instructions for using the simulator.
- A hemiparesis module that will soon be available as an accessory.
