How do ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges work?
ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges contain an active ingredient complex of gum arabic, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hyaluronic acid and carrageenan. Slowly sucking or lightly chewing ipalat® Hydro Med intensively stimulates the flow of saliva. The active ingredients contained in the lozenge bind moisture. The result is a gel-like complex that covers the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat like a protective film (hydro effect). These are intensively moisturised, protected from further irritating influences and can calm down again. Complaints such as sore throat, hoarseness, coughing and dry mouth are thus effectively relieved.
Are ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges suitable for children?
ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges are suitable for children from the age of 6.
Can ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
There is no evidence against the use of ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
How should ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges be used?
Adults and children aged 6 years and over can use one ipalat® Hydro Med lozenge several times a day, for example every 2 - 3 hours, as required. Up to 6 lozenges can be used daily. It is recommended to suck the lozenges slowly or chew them lightly between meals to achieve the optimum effect of the lozenge.
Do ipalat® Hydro Med lozenges contain lactose?
