Posterisan® protect ointment was specially developed for the care of the anal region for mild haemorrhoidal complaints. It contains jojoba wax, liquid cetyl stearyl isononanoate, yellow wax, benzyl alcohol, purified water, white petroleum jelly, lanolin and butylated hydroxytoluene.

The ointment provides relief for mild haemorrhoidal symptoms and also protects against the recurrence of symptoms. It can be used without hesitation during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The lubricating effect of the ointment makes bowel movements easier and protects the pain-sensitive anal region from irritation.

Regular use of Posterisan® protect supports the stretching of the sphincter muscle with the help of an anal dilator, which is included in the pack.

Thanks to its active ingredients, Posterisan® protect provides relief from minor discomfort in the anal region. Jojoba oil regulates the skin's moisture balance and gives it elasticity. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Cetyl stearyl isononanoate softens the skin, while beeswax forms a protective film that is water-repellent.

Posterisan® protect is also suitable for long-term use due to its excellent tolerability. It can be used for up to four weeks without interruption. The ointment is safe to use both during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

The ointment is applied thinly to the outer area of the anus. An applicator with side exit openings is included for internal application in the anal canal. Regular application before and after bowel movements is recommended to maintain protection.

The anal dilator, which can be used with Posterisan® protect, helps to gradually stretch a cramped sphincter muscle and prevent cramps. For better gliding properties, the anal dilator is thinly coated with ointment and additionally provided with an approx. 1 cm long strand of ointment.
