Small but mighty! Psyllium husks can absorb 40 times their weight in water. Pre-soak 1/2 - 2 teaspoons of psyllium husks in water for approx. 30 minutes and drink them with plenty of liquid. Tip: Mix the seed husks into muesli, smoothies or yoghurt.

Why do psyllium seeds and psyllium husks have different origins?
Whole psyllium seeds come from a plantain species that grows in Austria, among other places. We can therefore offer psyllium seeds of Austrian origin. Unfortunately, the epidermis (i.e. the husk) of this variety is not thick enough to produce pure psyllium husks from it.
For this reason, we have to use a special variety of plantain for our psyllium husks - but these only grow in India or countries with a similar climate.
