Vitamin K2 plays an important role in the human body and fulfils many important functions. It is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in the forms MK4, MK7 and MK9. MK7 in particular is considered to be the most effective form of vitamin K2. It has a high bioavailability and remains in the bloodstream for a long time.
Vitamin K2 is mainly found in animal foods, but fermented foods such as cheese and sauerkraut are also rich in vitamin K2.
