The xylitol we offer is made from sustainable wood (FSC). The grain size is slightly coarser than that of normal household sugar. It is a vegan product.

You can use this xylitol in the same way as sugar (1:1). It is suitable for sweetening food and drinks. It has a very low glycaemic index and contains approx. 10-40% fewer calories than sugar, making it sugar-free.

Our birch sugar xylitol dissolves well in hot and cold drinks and food. You can use it to bake cakes and biscuits, make jam and ice cream, sweeten desserts or sauces and prepare syrups. It has the same preservative properties as sugar.

Please note: Xylitol is often incorrectly labelled as birch sugar, although only a maximum of 5% of it is obtained from birch wood. Beech wood is mainly used. Other suppliers also refer to xylitol obtained from corn as birch sugar, which may be permitted, but is not correct.

Our birch sugar xylitol differs from coarse-grained xylitol in terms of its grain size and lower tendency to clump. As a result, it has a shelf life of at least 3 years, in contrast to ordinary xylitol with a shelf life of 2 years. The manufacturer of this product is based in Finland and is called Danisco. It places great emphasis on significantly reducing the amount of water and energy used in xylitol production, which significantly reduces CO2 emissions.

The ingredients of this product are 100% natural sweetener xylitol. You can use it in the same way as sugar (1:1).

Please keep the product out of the reach of small children and keep it away from animals. Even small amounts of xylitol can be dangerous for dogs, while cats can tolerate it without any problems. Excessive consumption can have a laxative effect.
