Product details & mandatory information

The most important functions of the Zoll AED 3 BLS defibrillator

  • Semi-automatic device with automatic heart rhythm detection: After applying the adhesive electrodes, software in the Zoll AED 3 BLS defibrillator automatically analyses the heart rhythm. If ventricular fibrillation or a serious cardiac arrhythmia is detected, the device activates defibrillation. You must press the shock button yourself.
  • Cardiac massage assistant: The Real CPR Help technology helps first aiders to perform first-class resuscitation. The electrodes have sensors so that it gives you visual feedback on the display and acoustic feedback on the frequency and depth of the compressions. A metronome is also built in.
  • Shock analysis during chest compressions: During manual chest compressions, the device analyses whether a further shock should be given and charges while you are still giving chest compressions. This means that hands-off times of just three seconds can be achieved, increasing the chances of survival by 10-15 per cent. In comparison, the hands-off time for other devices is 20-25 seconds.
  • ECG display: The patient's ECG is shown on the display to assess rhythm and heart rate.
  • Automatic self-tests for monitoring functionality: Thanks to the PlusTrac programme, the device can be connected to the local WLAN network and thus always reports the current status. If a defect is detected during a self-test of the Zoll AED 3 BLS, you will be contacted directly. The PlusTrac licence is included free of charge for one year with the purchase of the device.

Advantages over other defibrillators

  • Clear and understandable voice instructions with image display: The AED 3 BLS defibrillator has a colour display with lifelike deployment images, a CPR cycle timer and a large, colour-coded bar display showing the depth of CPR compressions. This makes it easy to guide lay rescuers through the resuscitation process.
  • Suitable for children and adults: The electrodes on the AED 3 BLS defibrillator can be used on both adults and children. This saves you time in an emergency and means you don't have to buy two sets of pads.
  • Quickly switch to child mode by pressing the child button: By pressing the "Child mode" button, the device simply switches to the protocol for paediatric resuscitation. This can also be changed during the resuscitation process.
  • 6-year warranty: The AED 3 BLS comes with a six-year manufacturer's warranty. The warranty can be extended by two years by registering your AED.
  • Battery lasts up to five years in standby mode
  • Protected against dust and water: The AED 3 BLS defibrillator has achieved IP55 classification. This means that the housing of the device is protected against dust and water.
  • Data transfer to your PC: Thanks to the USB port and WLAN, reading out resuscitation data from the AED 3 BLS is child's play. All data can be easily transferred to your PC using the Zoll Online CodeReview. ECG data can also be forwarded quickly and easily to medical staff.
