Erler Zimmer Paediatric Caudal Injection Simulator in detail
The Paediatric Caudal Injection Simulator is a widely used, safe and easy-to-use device for regional anaesthesia in paediatric surgery. This unique simulator provides realistic training on a 12-month-old infant in the left lateral position with head and knees bent. Unlike other trainers, the Paediatric Caudal Injection Simulator provides a detailed representation with an anatomically correct coccyx and sacral hiatus for realistic practice. In addition, the simulator includes an iliac crest for even more realism, a removable spine, a spinal canal and two skin pads - one transparent and one opaque for different training levels. The included fluid provides feedback on the correct placement of the needle for all procedures. With the ability to practice two different procedures on just one simulator, the Paediatric Caudal Injection Simulator offers an effective and time-saving training option.
