The Weinmann ventilator valve is an indispensable accessory for the COMBIBAG resuscitator. It is the first manual ventilator to be equipped with a 2-stage safety valve.
Until now, there was the problem of adjusting the pressure when ventilating via mask and tracheal tube. Most manual ventilators only have a pressure limit of 50-60 mbar, based on the conditions of a healthy lung.
Inexperienced users therefore always run the risk of distending the stomach and causing aspiration at pressures above 20 mbar. There is also a risk of lung damage when ventilating children if too high ventilation pressures are used.
Thanks to the COMBIBAG's 2-stage safety valve, you can now...
- Set a maximum pressure of 20 mbar for mask ventilation and paediatric ventilation.
- Set a maximum pressure of 60 mbar for adult ventilation via a tracheal tube.
