A female newborn model for performing umbilical cord catheterisation. The model has a retractable umbilical cord and has both an artery and a vein in the umbilical cord to practice different catheterisation techniques. Both low and high UAC techniques and umbilical vein catheterisation can be practised. In addition, measures for fixation and care of the catheter can be practised.
