Erler Zimmer mediastinum, natural size in detail
The "mediastinum, natural size" is a life-size model consisting of five parts. It contains a wide septum in the midline that divides the chest and separates the cavities for the lungs. You have the option of removing the sternum and thymus to see the pericardium and the large pulmonary and body vessels. The trachea and oesophagus enter the mediastinum through the upper thoracic aperture, while the lower thoracic aperture is bordered by the diaphragmatic muscles. The life-size heart model consists of two parts, whereby the front wall can be removed to view the internal structures. The model is supplied with a base. It measures 40 x 26 x 30 cm and weighs approx. 2.3 kg.
