This "ultimate" kit was developed to give nursing educators the opportunity to provide medical experiences that were originally only found in the hospital environment. It provides visual support for the application of wounds, blisters, abrasions, bruises and much more. The moulages design the practice situations so realistically that the learners are fully immersed and engaged in the scenarios presented. They realise that the patient or patient simulator needs to be cared for appropriately.
By using very quick basic simulations and simple make-up, the simulated lifelike wounds can be cleaned, sutured, bandaged, etc., providing a realistic nursing experience. Simple make-up can be applied during the care simulation; the wounds can be applied to limbs, chest, head or any other part of the body of real people or on the patient simulator. The simulation can be as simple or as advanced as required by including other realistic elements such as sweat, blood, pus, mucus or other "recipes" required to create a realistic learning environment.
