Loceryl against nail fungus in detail
Loceryl® nail polish is an effective treatment for nail fungus. The nail polish penetrates deep into the nail bed and combats infectious fungal cells in the long term. Thanks to its long-term effect, it only needs to be applied once a week. Loceryl® is easy to apply and can be used under cosmetic nail polish, keeping the nails looking attractive during treatment.
Active ingredient:
55.74 mg amorolfine hydrochloride
Excipients:
Ethyl acetate, ammonium methacrylate copolymer (type A), butyl acetate, triacetin, ethanol
Indications:
Treatment of nail fungus (onychomycosis) without involvement of the nail matrix.
Recommendation for use:
- File the affected nails with a disposable nail file before the first application.
- Clean the nail thoroughly and apply Loceryl® Nail Polish with the DIRECT applicator.
- Apply once a week until the nail has grown back completely healthy.
Tips to support the treatment:
- Wash towels, flannels and socks at a minimum of 60 degrees.
- Do not walk barefoot in public wet areas.
- Wash your feet daily and dry them thoroughly, including between the toes.
- Regularly moisturise and care for your feet to prevent cracked skin.
How does nail fungus develop?
- Even the smallest injury can lead to fungi settling in the nail area.
- The main cause is the filamentous fungus.
- Infection occurs through contact with infected people or objects, especially in changing rooms, wet areas and swimming pools.
Nail fungus and athlete's foot often occur together:
- Nail fungus can be accompanied by athlete's foot and vice versa (ping-pong effect).
- Supplementary treatment of the foot skin can be useful, e.g. with Loceryl® cream.
Mandatory information:
Loceryl® nail polish against nail fungus, 50 mg/ml nail polish containing the active ingredient. Active substance: amorolfine. Indications: Treatment of onychomycosis without involvement of the matrix. Warning: Contains 0.552 g alcohol (ethanol) per g (55.2 % w/w).
