ZOLL Pedi-padz II electrode in detail
The electrodes have a shelf life of 2 years and can be used on children, so there is no need to purchase two separate pad systems.
The colour LCD display of a ZOLL defibrillator shows clear graphics that match the adhesive pads to help laypersons place the electrodes correctly in children.
Inadequate compression rate and depth are common during resuscitation. Adult patients require 100 to 120 compressions per minute and a compression depth of 5 to 6 cm. Chest compressions must be performed well to effectively transport oxygenated blood to the heart and brain.
Thanks to these modern electrodes (pads), the ZOLL devices can evaluate the resuscitation quality and thus provide real-time verbal and visual feedback to guide the first aider in the best possible resuscitation. It says: "Push deeper" if the pressure depth is insufficient and also says "Cardiac massage good" if the resuscitation quality is sufficient.
